Maps and battle plans depicting the scenes and surroundings of the era of the American Revolution. Collections include charts of the North American, Canadian, and Far Eastern theaters of the American Revolution and French and Indian wars. Highlights include the first official map of the United States published after the ratification of the Treaty of Paris by French mapmaker Jean Lattre; 19 works by prominent British cartographer William Faden showing troop positions during the American Revolution; and a French 1755 edition of Thomas Jefferys and Joshua Fry's map of Virginia.
